We have been visiting with a lot of customers both here at the OpenStack Summit in Vancouver and through the normal course of business. One of the things we have noticed is that there are some instances where the customer would like to deploy a cloud on premise, but would like to achieve the cost profile of the public cloud. To address this issue, we have teamed up with Canonical and leading financial service institutions to deliver on premise Ubuntu OpenStack Cloud solutions with the cash flow profile of a public cloud.
As a global system integrator of white box hardware and open source software, StackVelocity is looking for the most effective paths to long-term customer success, whether they're hyperscale or not. We think that open hardware standards a crucial part of the formula for making this idea a reality.
The spring event season is in full swing, and we're currently planning to attend two upcoming events.
The seismic shift from proprietary stacks to open source software running on white box hardware is making its way spreading from beyond the hyperscale data center. StackVelocity exists to provide the hardware, resources, ecosystem and expertise to make that transition profitable and predictable.
