OpenPOWER_Summit2016_logo-300x108.jpgOur next “Power to the People” campaign stop is the OpenPOWER Summit, April 5-7, in San Jose, California. StackVelocity, an OpenPower consortium member since mid-2015, will be exhibiting in Booth 1217.

Companies today are faced with the challenge of deciphering and analyzing mass amounts of information in order to reap business benefits. StackVelocity is addressing this challenge with our contributions to the OpenPOWER initiative, and I am excited to share our progress with you.

On Wednesday, April 6, I will be presenting "Enabling the Power Behind OpenPOWER" and introducing a new class of OpenPOWER platforms targeted at storage-rich applications.

A highlight of this presentation will be the unveiling of a new high-performance data analytics engine that is ideal for analytics applications or any other environment where a large storage pool is internal to the server. In developing this server platform, StackVelocity has leveraged the full capabilities of the new IBM OpenPOWER Power8 CPU, including Coherent Accelerator Processor Interface (CAPI)-enabled I/O slots, enabling even greater system throughput.

I look forward to seeing you at OPF Summit 2016!
